US Admits N. Korea and/or Iran Can Hit It With An EMP.

From, US Admiral William “Bill” Gortney, Commander of US Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), and the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD):

“Pyongyang now has ‘ability to put a nuclear weapon on a KN-08 and shoot it’ at the continental US.”

It’s said that an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) bomb set off at the correct magnitude and altitude could “fry” the unprotected US power grid and send America back to the 18th Century.

This means no electricity, emergency services, food production or delivery, water pumping or delivery, and failure of just about anything else that depends upon electricity, motors, or computers.

Millions and millions of people would flat out die within days or weeks: of starvation, dehydration, fever, sickness, riots, and worse.

And there are those critics—some seemingly madcap—who poo-poo the idea entirely, saying it can’t be accomplished by either Iran or North Korea.

Others call it, “a pipe dream,” or just a rumor, some nefarious scheme somehow instigated by Trump, Republicans, and Vladimir Putin.

Well, it’s apparently real.

This, further from Admiral Gortney, way back in December, 2015:

In a blockbuster admission, Admiral Bill Gortney, Commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and US Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) disclosed that the Pentagon now believes North Korea has mastered the ability to miniaturize its nuclear bombs so they can be fitted onto their latest mobile KN-08 intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), which are capable of reaching the continental United States.

At the news conference, Adm. Gortney flatly stated, Pyongyang has “the ability to put a nuclear weapon on a KN-08 and shoot it at the homeland [the continental United States].” He expressed confidence that the US could knock down such a missile if launched by North Korea or its ally, Iran.

But, not to worry, because the “US could knock down such a missile,” —if only they could track the “very difficult” deployment of the ICBMs.

He also admitted, however, that it is “very difficult” for the US to counter the threat, because its intelligence is unable to follow the mobile ICBMs and give an efficient warning before they are launched.

Even if the US could “see” the ICBMs, the US could not counter them (as of 2015).

The KN-08 is a road-capable, highly mobile ICBM, which can be hidden anywhere throughout the North Korea and could be fired on a short-countdown virtually undetectable by American intelligence.

As Adm. Gortney further explained about the North’s KN-08 ICBM, “It’s the relocatable [highly-mobile, can go anywhere ] target set that really impedes our ability to find, fix, and finish the threat. And as the targets move around and if we don’t have a persistent Location and persistent [intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance] that we do not have over North Korea at this time, that relocatable nature makes it very difficult for us to be able to counter it.”

Let’s bring this up to date:

It has been stated by identifiable experts that North Korea’s Kim Jong-un could launch an EMP strike that would kill “90 percent of the American population, two U.S. intelligence experts warned.”

From EMP News, April 5, 2017:

In a joint article, former CIA director Robert James Woolsey Jr and US Congressional EMP Task Force director Dr. Peter Vincent Pry refuted the mainstream media’s allegations that North Korea may not be able deliver on its repeated threats to launch a nuclear strike against the U.S. “False reassurance is given to the American people that North Korea has not ‘demonstrated’ that it can miniaturise a nuclear warhead small enough for missile delivery, or build a reentry vehicle for an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) capable of penetrating the atmosphere to blast a US city,” Woolsey and Pry stated.

The experts have also confirmed that North Korea indeed has two classes of intercontinental ballistic missile — the road mobile KN-08 and KN-14 — both of which seemed to be equipped with cutting-edge reentry vehicles….

…According to Woolsey and Pry, the country could easily deliver an atomic bomb concealed in a freighter going to the U.S., or hire terrorists to launch a nuclear suicide mission across the unguarded Mexican border, which may affect densely-populated port cities and areas closest to the border.

The experts said detonating a Hiroshima-type A-bomb with a yield of 10-kilotons would result in about 200,000 casualties. The experts confirmed that North Korea has tested a nuclear weapon with estimated yields of 20 to 30 kilotons. According to the Defense Department, the country may have tested H-Bomb components in January last year. H-bombs are more powerful than A-bombs and may result in much larger casualties.

From The National Sentinel, May 8. 2017:

(NationalSentinel) North Korea: A U.S. congressman says that North Korea may be preparing to explode a nuclear device high above the country, an act of overt war that would also cause major long-term damage to American electrical infrastructure.

As reported exclusively by Breitbart News‘ Israel correspondent, Aaron Kline, Dr. Peter Vincent P. Pry, executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security and chief of staff of the Congressional EMP Commission, said on Kline’s radio show Sunday that North Korea has a pair of satellites currently orbiting above the U.S. at trajectories that are ideal for an attack.

Pry was talking about the KMS 3-2 and KMS-4 earth observation satellites launched by North Korea in April 2012 and February 2016 respectively.

“They are positioning themselves as sort of a nuclear missile age, cyberage version of the battleship diplomacy in my view. So that they can always have one of them ( the satellites) very close to being over the United States or over the United States,” Pry said.

“Then if a crisis comes up and if we decide to attack North Korea, Kim Jong Un can threaten our president and say, ‘Well, don’t do that because we are going to burn your whole country down.’ Which is basically what he said. I mean, he has made threats about turning the United States into ashes and he connected the satellite program to this in public statements to deter us from attacking,” Pry continued.

COULD NORTH KOREA STRIKE THE US?

AND COULD IT BE AN EMP?

From The Washington Times, February, 2017:

Four years ago in December 2012, when North Korea orbited its KMS-3 satellite over the U.S., I warned they could conduct an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack by satellite.

An EMP that blacks out the national electric grid would be a far greater catastrophe than blasting a city. A North Korean 10-kiloton warhead blasting a city might cause about 200,000 casualties.

However, the same warhead making a high-altitude EMP attack — though there would be no blast, thermal or fallout effects on the ground — could knock out the electric grid and other life-sustaining critical infrastructures for more than a year, killing 90 percent of the population through starvation.

Why blast a city when EMP attack can destroy the whole nation? North Korea wants to be able to do both. They can launch an EMP attack already.

Another advantage of EMP attack by satellite is anonymity, to escape retaliation, whereas an intercontinental ballistic missile destroying a city would have North Korea’s fingerprints all over it.

North Korea’s KMS-3 satellite is in low-Earth orbit, along with hundreds of other satellites. KMS-3’s south polar trajectory approaches the United States from the south, where there are no ballistic missile early warning radars or national missile defenses. The U.S. is blind and defenseless from that direction.

** So. The answer appears to be, “yes.” North Korea could strike the US and kill maybe up to 90% of the population indirectly, if they used an EMP….

…if everything on their end worked; if a mobile-missile, or satellite, or barge, or whatever sort of launch they chose worked. And everything went right for them; and the bomb reached it target, and detonated properly—then the North Koreans could do it.

And America would likely be in ruins.

However—it seems to me that’s a lot of “ifs.”

And if it failed….

…then the payback from President Trump—and America—would likely be devastating and unsurvivable, for both North Korea, and it’s non-genius, little dictator.

Could he try it anyway? I think, yes. I think he believes his own aggrandized PR, and his own, mad legend of “brilliant infallibility.”

…every word so significant and ultimate, that it must be recorded in notebooks by eager generals awaiting his wisdom….

That—is overt madness.

Insanity.

EXCERPT:

Jack stood up. He leaned forward, and put his hands on Nick’s desk.

“Nick, it’s simple. The Problem is left wing media lies; the conspiracy of the lying, Islamist, Marxist, U.S. media. The solution is ‘simple;’ the Media Killer is killing them off, one by one.”

Nick sat back in his chair. He stared at Jack on the other side of the desk. “Well, Jack…I’m hardly choked up. In fact, I’m surprised nobody thought of it sooner….
